The plate is a really good size and big enough to hold both sandwiches and cake or fruit,

or anything else you may have for lunch.

We take ours out to the garden on sunny days and can manage to hold sandwiches, a piece of fruit and our drink,

and can hold it all in one hand, giving us a free hand for our newspapers.

(You do need a steady hand for this as bowl only sits on tray and is not fixed in place)
